Exit Laughing
Old Mill Theatre
19:30 – 21:30
MMS Management Committee invites members and spouses/partners to an evening at The Old Mill Theatre to enjoy a the play “Exit Laughing” on Friday 8th March 2024. The play starts at 7.30PM. The theatre is located Cnr Mends Street & Mill Point Road (opposite the Windsor Hotel).
When the biggest highlight in your life for the past 30 years has been your weekly bridge night out with the "girls," what do you do when one of your foursome inconveniently dies? If you're Connie, Leona and Millie, three southern ladies from Birmingham, you do the most daring thing you've ever done. You "borrow" the ashes from the funeral home for one last card game, and the wildest, most exciting night of your lives involves a police raid, a stripper and a whole new way of looking at all the fun you can have when you're truly living.
MMS has reserved 30 tickets for Members and friends of the Men's Shed. Cost per person is $21. It is sure to be an enjoyable evening and tickets to all sessions of the play are selling fast so please reply asap.

Christmas Function
Manning Men’s Shed
16:30 – 19:30
Howdy All
Just a little info on our Western Sundowner on the 15th December at 4PM, in the musical Oklahoma there is the scene where picnic baskets (hampers) are auctioned off, this scene has been re-enacted in countless western functions thru out the years now it is our turn to have a bit of fun.
The picnic basket/hamper is what you would pack in an appropriate food container, food carton, cooler, esky, basket for you and your partner or single to have a picnic dinner, basically you are bringing a meal for one or two in a container instead of a plate as in previous years.
The picnic basket/hamper will be auctioned off with a lot banter and fun, then members will have fun finding out what they have purchased, you then can have fun exchanging hampers or dishes in the hamper also there will be a table where unwanted dishes can be placed and swapped this is great fun and will make for comradery between members.
The Shed will be providing Wine, Beer, Soft Drinks and Juice also we will cater for those with special dietary needs.
A door prize will presented for the two best western outfits, so get out your boots, spurs, whips or what ever takes your fancy and lets have a hoot.
